El-final-para-Ibarra.jpg

Well it took longer than expected, 7 months to be exact, but Season 4 is finally over and we have a new-old winner. Of course, that would be SGA, winners of now 2 in a row seasons of Race League. This year they had a tougher road to title, unexpectedly losing some matches in the process and were even on the verge of elimination in the semifinals. In the final though, they were pretty dominant winning 2-0 against FoX who admittedly had some personnel issues. Read more »

This past weekend was held Bronze match for the Season 4 of MTA:SA Race League. There met two of the probably oldest and most famous race clans in MTA – Sik and SKC. As how it usually happens with matches for 3rd place, especially with contenders with such renommé as these two, there wasn’t much enthusiasm but SiK came better prepared and claimed that 3rd place. Season 4 – Semifinals wrap up

playoff

Well it took some time but we finally got there. The Finals are ahead of us. They will feature the meeting between defending champion SGA and vice champion of the First season – FoX. The later eliminated SKC 2 – 0 but both matches we’re very close and exciting to the last round. SGA on the other hand was on the verge of being eliminated when they lost first cw against SiK and trailed for the majority of the second only to prevail in the last round buy mere 8 points. After that there was a few weeks of pause where teams couldn’t agree on the time and date of 3rd and final cw. It was finally played this weekend and SGA triumphed and will have chance to defend the title in the Finals.

The defeated teams will get the chance to play for the 3rd place. Both Finals and Bronze matches will be played in the coming weeks so stay tuned.

Playoffs in Season 4 of the Race League are in full swing. Quarterfinals have already been played and the results are pretty much what everyone expected. Three former champions of the League – SiK, SKC and SGA, made quick work of their opponents in the opening round advancing to the semifinals. The No.1 ranked team after the Main Stage – FoX achieved the same after their opponent GDS forfeited because of insufficient number of players.

DD League wraps up the Season 1

v0p2K

As you know after organizing 3 successful Seasons of the Race League in previous years, this time we decided to expand and include DD League too. Now its first season is finished. It was not a bump less ride with some problems coming up here and there, but ultimately, it was a successful one with a promise of better things in the future.

Poland wins National cup

stock-footage-polish-flag-waving-against-time-lapse-clouds-background

After 20 days where CWs were played in each of them the National cup has reached its conclusion. The final result where Poland came on top is not very surprising seeing how they were considered absolute favorite to win it all. And they did it in very convincing fashion, winning all matches by +150 difference.

Since Poland win was just a formality the most exciting storyline in Cup was the question who will manage to snatch that 2nd place. In the end that went to Latvia who were ranked 1st after Main part and in semis played exciting CW versus Estonia where they managed to prevail and schedule a final match with Poland. The final itself was very one sided with Poland absolutely demolishing Latvia.

National Cup is here

nationalcup

The wait is over and National Cup, the best and most fun Race tournament in opinion of most players, is here. Actually it already started 2 days ago and we have already some great matches like the one between Estonia and Brazil where the later, with somewhat surprising with, showed it plans to go high.

The event itself has 24 national teams participating and this year, unlike the ones before, it will be played over the course of 20 days. Seeing as Germany will not take part, the defending champion – Poland is once again an overwhelming favorite to win it all. The other contenders, like in the years before, are Russia, Latvia, Estonia and now previously mentioned Brazil.

The tournament continues today with a match between Serbia and Belgium at 19:30 CET.

You can find schedule, results and other info under Race League -> Season 4 -> National cup.

Down The Road 2: Playoffs and Final Four

playoff

Playoffs in DTR 2 brought new exciting moments. There was everything. Some players rage quit, some dominated like it was expected from them, some got eliminated seemingly before their time and some continued to defy the odds by going to the highs nobody thought possible.

It all culminated on August 4 with Final Four. In which, despite all the drama of previous rounds, there weren’t many surprises, not in the people who qualified for it, nor in their final standing. In the end, as many predicted, BurN came on top with 24 points where after the bad start in first few round we saw him mount and incredible run in the last 7 rounds, with just as may wins. Second, with 18 points, was D4vy, who tried and managed for the most part to keep up with BurN, but in the end he fell short. On the 3rd place, with 9 points each, finished Ferrari and GARIK08 who gave their best but it just wasn’t enough.

We would like to thank everybody who took part in this tournament, from map makers, players and even those who were just spectating. Without you this wouldn’t be possible.

And remember, National Cup starts this Sunday.

Down The Road 2 : Stage 2

dtr

So yesterday the 2nd stage of the DTR tournament has ended . There have been defined the best 16 players of this tournament who will fight in the playoffs for a place in the final of four . Some groups were really tough and were interesting to watch . Or in other groups the results were already obvious and expected . We have been surprised again by good players who were favourite in winning the group with no problems , but who didn’t make it further . 4 outsiders made it to the playoffs , 3 from ARC and one from RFF , the remaining players being or were in the top clans of MTA  : 2 FoXes , 5 SGAs , 2 LSRs , 1 SiK , 1 SKC +1 more
